The worldwide business intelligence market is exceeding average software industry growth as shown in a Forrester Research study. Forrester says more users, an ending grace period for compliance and increasing standardization are fueling the process. A BI Review/Gantry Group survey also conducted this year lists tools associated with BI, those in use or planned, and BI investments slated for the next 12 months. A third study from DM Review and IDC finds product complexity and modeling limitations as shortcomings of current BI solutions. Gartner Inc. separately found that "lack of user skills" is the greatest barrier cited by global respondents, making training and user-friendly products a priority.
