The Information Workplace

Information management is the revitalized term often heard this year to describe infrastructure that is required to unite structured and unstructured data in some sort of user-sensitive context. At a higher level, where the actual information worker resides, Forrester Research analysts Erica Driver and Connie Moore are defining requirements for the Information Workplace, a term which refers to the future working interfaces of humans and technology. The main building blocks of the Information Workplace are portals, structured and unstructured content, collaboration and office productivity. The graphics on this page are supported by the column by Driver and Moore.
